We are very happy to hear that Alex Ardenti bodybuilding photographer and filmmaker is writing and directing a documentary film that takes a look at the history and current state of the bodybuilding supplement industry called "SUPPS: The Movie".
This bodybuilding documentary takes a deep look into the $40 Billion a year supplement business and will feature such bodybuilding experts and celebrities as Michael O'Hearn, Christian Boeving, Rich Piana, Ric Drasin, Samir Bannout, Rick Valente, Milos Sarcev, Jerry Brainum and many more.
SUPPS: The Movie full movie will be a full 120 minutes long covering the history, evolution and even the future of bodybuilding supplements.
SUPPS: The Movie release date seems to be the summer of 2019 and will be available to watch on Hulu, Netflix, iTunes, Amazon Prime, and Google Play.
Alex Ardenti mentions Rheo Blair on the SUPPS: The Movie FaceBook page he says "In the late 1950s Rheo Blair (Irwin Johnson) was the only brand catering to athletes at the time. The first Mr Olympia Larry Scott was a huge fan of his protein."
Along with Rheo Blair's protein, amino acids and other supplements we expect this documentary to cover Weider supplements, Cybergenics, Hot Stuff, Ultimate Orange, Designer Protein, Met Rx, EAS and many others that have made their impact and are part of bodybuilding history.
Alex Adrenti said "A few weeks into shooting Supps: The Movie I realized that our industry had too many great stories to condense into a regular 90-minute documentary. There is simply too much history to tell!" So he decided that Supps: The Movie has will be followed by "Supps: The Series" with each 1 hour long episode featuring a different topic relating the world of bodybuilding supplements.
Supps: The Series will be released shortly after the release of SUPPS: The Movie.
