Rheo H. Blair was the original low carb diet expert. Many people went to him for advise in seeking healthy steps in the right direction. He taught them about the principles of a high protein and low carbohydrate lifestyle and they achieved remarkable results and transformed themselves. His program also included along with nutrition things such as adequate sleep and moderate to heavy exercise. He believed that older people should eat more whole foods and younger people should have more protein and cream.
Many bodybuilders today still follow diets much similar to the diets he created, to lose body fat and achieve muscle mass gains. They say it is the secret of getting steroid-like results without using drugs.
High Protein Low Carb Diet Meal Plan
Old school bodybuilders used this as their standard diet which keep them lean all year round.
Just before a contest to get extra ripped they would cut out all cheese, milk, protein drinks and just stick to eggs, meats and some green vegetables.
Here are the simple rules for following this diet plan:
Eat small but frequent meals
Include protein at every meal
Cut out all sugar, bread, pasta, rice, grains, potatoes, etc.
Limit your carbohydrates to vegetables and a small amount of fruit.
Use supplements such as multi vitamins, low carbohydrate protein powder, amino acids, etc.
