Dave Draper is a former IFBB pro bodybuilder, and an actor who appeared in movies such as "Walk, Don't Run" and "Don't Make Waves", and on TV shows such as "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "The Monkees". He is also the author of bodybuilding books with titles like "Brother Iron, Sister Steel", "Iron on My Mind" and "Iron in My Hands".
Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 225 pounds, with 21 inch arms, blond tan and a golden tan he was the perfect poster boy for bodybuilding. Joe Weider nicknamed Dave "The Blond Bomber" and featured him in articles and ads on the pages of "Muscle Builder/Power Magazine" (which later became "Muscle & Fitness Magazine").
When Dave moved from New Jersey to Los Angeles in the early 1960's he met the famous nutritionist Rheo H. Blair who taught him about the importance of a high quality protein diet and supplied him with his Milk and Egg based Blair's Instant Protein.
Dave Draper won Mr. America, Mr. World and Mr. Universe
Many years after he had retired from competitive bodybuilding Dave decided to come out with his own protein powder which he called "Bomber Blend Whey Protein".
Of course Dave incorporated many of the ideas behind Rheo Blair's Protein Formula when putting together his new Dave Draper protein supplement, just like Rheo, he used cold-processed, un-denatured protein this way the protein is not heat damaged making it more bioavailable.
Bomber Blend Protein Review
Bomber Blend is a high protein but low fat and low carbohydrate supplement with both whey and casein protein for a balance of fast and slow absorbing proteins. He also added BCAA's, L-Glutamine, antioxidants, B-Complex vitamins, digestive enzymes, electrolytes, trace minerals, lecithin as a fat mobilizer and oat bran for fiber.
Bomber Blend Protein Powder is easy to mix and comes in great tasting vanilla and chocolate flavors.
One serving (2 scoops) provides 38 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat and 2 grams of carbohydrates, totaling 178 Calories.
I'm not sure why he didn't add egg protein to the blend, it would have made it even better.
How to use Bomber Blend Protein Powder?
Dave suggested taking the protein for breakfast, pre-workout, post-workout, before bed or when on the road and you don't have time for a meal.
He also recommended for those trying to gain muscle mass to add 2-3 servings between your regular meals.
And for those trying to lose fat while maintaining or building muscle to replace a meal or two with Bomber Blend Protein mixed with water or low fat milk.
